Kidnappers of Uduaghan’s cousin demand N50m ransom

Asaba— SUSPECTED kidnappers of a cousin to Delta State Governor, Pa Sam Uduaghan, have asked for N50 million ransom.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Charles Muka, told Vanguard, yesterday, “they (kidnappers) said they are demanding N50 million ransom. But we are on their trail. We are seriously on them. I can assure you, we are on top of it.”

Pa Uduaghan, 70 years old was abducted from his Direct Labour Street, residence in Asaba on Wednesday, daring the heavy security presence of police in Asaba, as a result of visit of the Acting Inspector General of Police, IG, Mohammed Abubakar.

Governor Uduaghan had disagreed with the IG on the total ban of road blocks as kidnappers have easy passage in and out of the state.
