Beyonce Knowles
Beyonce first became known to the world through girl group Destiny's Child in 1990s. The group, which was managed by her father Mathew Knowles, become one of the most successful groups of its time.
In 2003, lead-singer Beyonce released her first solo album Dangerously in Love and within it, gained number one singles such as Crazy In Love and Baby Boy, the star also gained five Grammy awards for the album.
The gorgeous star then went on to release her second solo album B'Day in 2006, which included such tunes as that catchy break-up hit 'Irreplaceable' and sassy single Beautiful Liar.
Beyonce's third solo album, I Am...Sasha Fierce, followed in 2006 and was responsible for power track Single Ladies (Put a Ring in It). Beyonce nabbed a whopping six Grammy Awards for the album.
Not only does Beyonce sing, she has also acted in the film adaptation the Broadway musical, Dreamgirls in 2006, which gained two Golden Globe nods.
Beyonce has fronted such brands as L'Oreal, Pepsi, Tommy Hilfiger and Armani and has gained a total of 16 Grammy Awards for her work, 13 for her solo work and three with Destinys child.
Her mother Tina Knowles, was involved in the designing of Destiny's child outfits. In 2004, Beyonce and her mother, introduced the family's fashion line, House of Dereon.
Beyonce has been dating rapper superstar Jay-Z since April 2008.
In March 2011, it was announced that Beyonce's dad, Mathew Knowles, would no longer be her manager.
The star became a mother on January 7 2012, giving birth to a baby girl called Blue Ivy Carter in New York.
