What Happened to 112,000 Nigerian students WAEC results ?


About 112,000 candidates who sat for the May/June 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), have their results withheld over examination mal[practices, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), has said. .

Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, Head of National Office of WAEC, who addressed newsmen yesterday in Lagos, said the Council has already commenced investigation into the matter, assuring that the findings emanating from the process will be presented to the Nigerian Examinations Committee (NEC), for consideration.

Dr. Uwadiae said only 1,672,224 of the 1,695,878 candidates who registered for the examination nationwide sat for it, adding that 1,545,004 had their results fully released.
