The highly anticipated Mister Earth Worldwide pageant has been cancelled for this year. The pageant which is amongst the world’s top male pageants alongside Mister World , Mister International and Mister Africa International has been cancelled due to the death of the Business manager of the pageant
The finale which was scheduled for Sept 30 – Oct 8 has now been moved to October next year hence the reigning Mr Ideal Nigeria Abayomi Towase would not be able to represent the country at the event.
In a statement sent to the president of the Mr Ideal Nigeria Ayotunde Twitch , CEO of Mister Earth pageant stated ‘I offer my sincere apologies to the Mister Earth Nigeria and his organization for trusting us and thank you in advance for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you to the pageant next year’
Sources said Abayomi Towase is now poised to represent Nigeria at the Mister Tourism International to be held in the month of January 2013 in Panama following confirmation in the next few weeks. His runner up Obeahon Fortune will be representing Nigeria at the Mister Africa International 2012 , to be held on the 8th of October 2012 at the Africa centre London. The runner up of the Mr ideal Nigeria 2013 will stand a chance of representing Nigeria at the Mister Earth Worldwide pageant.
