Gbenga Adeyinka at it Again

The show began at exactly 9PM with the M.C, Gbenga Adeyinka welcoming the audience in his typical comic manner before proceeding to remind them of the reason they are gathered. He introduced the DJ, Tony blaze and announced the artistes billed to perform as the audience cheered along in excitement. Shortly after, he began his usual ‘memory game’, challenging the music knowledge of the audience by asking them to mention the artistes behind some selected songs. First was
‘Kukere‘ then ‘Azonto‘ followed by Daddy Showkey‘s ‘Fire fire‘, Baba Fryo‘s ‘Allan Po‘ , Stereoman‘s ‘Ekwe‘ all the way to ‘Baraje‘ by Ruggedman and ‘Jagajaga‘ and ‘Mr Lecturer‘, both by Eedris Abdulkareem – all of which the audience not only guessed right but sang along to.

DJ Tony Blaze Sets It All on Fire

Awake all through the night was DJ Tony blaze who shot the temperature to the maximum with his selection of hot music tunes which got the audience bumping hard without reasons to slow down. The hairy DJ at intervals switched between fast and slow songs ensuring that the audience loved it all.

Gbenga Adeyinka Turns Rapper-Exorcist

As usual with Gbenga Adeyinka, he appreciated all the rappers in the Nigerian music industry and went ahead to flaunt his rap skills; free styling with one of Eedris Abdulkareem’s tracks. Not long after, he announced the dance competition and requested for six male and female dancers. The competition started in earnest and all the participants slugged it out, each trying to prove their relevance on stage.

However, only two got the audience’s common support and Gbenga confirmed that they were ‘crazy’ before making an attempt to exorcise them claiming their ‘craziness’ supersedes that of Terry-G and every other crazy guy he’s known.

At different times during the show, names like Dagrin, MC Loph, DANA plane crash victims, amongst many others, came up, as performers, including M.I, Flavour, Omawumi and host Gbenga Adeyinka honoured them with either a song, or a mention.
