Police offer N10m reward for information on killers of Oshiomhole’s aide

AUTHORITIES of the Nigeria Police have offered as reward, the sum of N10 million to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the killers of Mr Olaitan Oyerinde, the Principal Private Secretary to the Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Oyerinde, the deputy general secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), who was on leave of absence to work with Governor Oshiomhole, was murdered on Friday by yet-to-be identified gun-men.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Force Headquarters, Abuja, Mr Peter Gana, who an-nounced the reward of N10 million in Benin City, the Edo State capital, on Sun-day, said no stone would be left unturned to get the killers of Mr Oyerinde.

Gana, the DIG in charge of investigations, said he was in Benin City to complement the efforts of the state police command.

“We have opened three telephone lines for the public to assist in the investigations.

“The Edo State gover-nor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has offered a N10 million reward to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of those responsible for the death of his aide,” he said.

He listed the telephone lines as 080178624253, 08158823049 and 0814177026, saying the lines would be active from 3.00 p.m today.
